CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIP 2026/2027: The Chevening Scholarship, regarded as one of the world’s top international scholarship schemes, is financed by the UK Government’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) along with multiple partner institutions. Status

Requirements
To qualify for the Chevening Scholarship 2026/2027, you must:
- Be a citizen of an eligible Chevening country or territory.
- A post-study condition requires you to go back to your home nation and reside there for no less than two years following the end of your scholarship.
- Hold an undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK bachelor’s degree.
- Have at least two years (2,800 hours) of work experience, which can include part-time work, voluntary service, and internships.
- Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and receive an unconditional offer from at least one of them by the final deadline.
- Meet the Chevening English language requirements.
You are not eligible if you:
- Hold British or dual British citizenship (except in specific cases such as British Overseas Territories citizens).
- Have previously studied in the UK under a UK Government scholarship.
- Are an employee, former employee (within the last two years), or close relative of an employee of the UK Government or certain Chevening partner organizations.

- Fill in your personal details, academic history, and work experience.
- Select three eligible UK master’s programs and apply separately to each.
- Upload your academic certificates, transcripts, and two reference letters.
- Write strong and detailed essays for the four Chevening questions.
- Submit your completed application before the deadline.
- If shortlisted, attend an interview at the British embassy or high commission in your country.
