FFS Shortlisted Candidates 2025: The FFS recruitment for 2025 is at that stage where everyone is waiting for the shortlist to be announced. Overview
Federal Fire Service aren’t just the fire trucks and sirens – they are the first response agency that protects lives and property from fire across Nigeria. Thousands of applicants apply every recruitment season across the 36 states and the FCT. It is difficult, competitive and not everyone gets in. So if your name makes that “Short List” you have satisfied the requirements and are closer to donning that uniform.

What Happens if You’re Shortlisted
If your name gets on the list. You Will:
- Receive an invitation for screening through the recruitment portal.
- Be told exactly where to go to be screened and documented.
- Hand in originals along with photocopies for verification.
What You Should Prepare for Screening
Prepare these ahead of time so you don’t have to hurry to do so later:
- Original as well as photocopies of your certificates.
- Birth certificate/age declaration.
- Certificate of state of origin.
- Two passport sized photographs taken recently.
- A valid means of identification such as a NIN slip, voter’s card or Drivers Licence.
- A printed copy of the invitation slip from the portal.
How to Check Your Name Once It’s Out
To know when the list has dropped:
- Go to website: https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng/.
- Select Shortlisted Candidates.
- Choose Federal Fire Service (FFS).
- Fill in your application details to check your status.
- If you see your name, download and print your invitation slip.
The Current Situation
But as this publication, the Federal Fire Service (FFS) official list has not been published When ready, the Federal Fire Service will publish it on the official portal.
