The Big News: J-TEACH Batch C Portal Is Open
The Jigawa State Government has announced that the J-TEACH Batch C Application Portal is now open under the Jigawa State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB). The programme offers a fresh opportunity for qualified teachers to join the J-TEACH Programme.

What Is J-TEACH?
The J-TEACH Recruitment Initiative is a programme launched by the Jigawa State Ministry of Higher Education to address teacher deficits and raise educational standards across the state. The official portal handles credential submission, status monitoring, and candidate communication, with a focus on a merit-based and transparent selection process. Teaching positions are available in various secondary schools across Jigawa State.

What Information and Documents Do You Need to Apply?
Interested applicants are required to register as new applicants on the official portal. The application requires details including name, email, phone number, NIN, address, marital status, place of birth, LGA, ward, date of birth, TRCN certificate number, institution details, teaching practice, and teaching experience. Applicants are also expected to upload documents such as a passport photograph, indigene certificate, and NCE result.
Who Qualifies?
Based on Jigawa SUBEB’s established requirements across batches, you need:
- A minimum of NCE from an accredited institution
- TRCN registration certificate
- B.Ed., B.A. (Ed.), B.Sc. (Ed.) or B.Tech (Ed.) holders are also encouraged to apply
- Graduates must provide NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
- Five O’Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics
- Valid means of identification (National ID, Voter’s Card, Driver’s License, or NIN)
- Must be a Jigawa State indigene
- Must be under 35 years of age
- Good conduct and character record

Important Things to Note
